Ben Russell

I’m Student Rabbi Ben Russell. I serve Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi — a community that has been part of my life for more than fifteen years, long before I became its rabbi.

I write here about Torah, Jewish life, the questions I’m wrestling with, and the sacred things that have a way of showing up in ordinary places. Most weeks that becomes a Sacred Sparks d’var Torah, along with art of my own design.

This is where I keep those words and images, along with sermons, teachings, and other pieces gathered along the way.

I’m glad you’re here.
